This place is a joke! An office drove to my husbands job in January of 2012 to arrest him for an outstanding ticket. He gave my husband the option to pay it and wrote him a receipt. My husband still has a warrant out for his arrest and a hold on his drivers licenses. I called to find out why this was still active and the lady tells me, I dont know I wasnt here in 2012, none of us were. I explain to her this was right before all the Patton village corruption was exposed. Her response was, dont go there with me I told you no one works here that was here in 2012. Everyone was fired. I tell her okay if thats the case and there was that much corruption going on where officers and even the mayor was fired and put in jail why are people still showing they have fines to pay? Since y'all dont know who has paid what and show no record of anything, people are just suppose to have to pay their fines again? Her response again was, I told you I wasnt here in 2012 no one was. So I tell her I need to talk to someone else. Someone that can help me. She tells me she is the only one there and she is the supervisor. She says there is another man that works there that was a police officer but transferred to the courts in 2012. WAIT didnt you just tell me like 3 times NO ONE from 2012 works there anyone, everyone was fired? Then her story changes to okay well everyone was fired but him. But he's on vacation so I'm the only one you can talk to and I can't tell you anything because I don't know, I wasn't here in 2012. This place is the biggest joke. Dont bother calling and talking to the courts because the lady that answers doesn't know anything and gets very defensive for someone that wasnt even there in 2012
Patton Village is a very small town with approximately 2 mile stretch of hwy they patrol on 69, which makes for a very lucrative speed trap and revenue stream. They don't take payment over the phone or through their own webpage, so you have to pay an extra fee of $17.95 on top of your ticket. Courthouse isn't even in the city limits it is Splendora which is very confusing in of itself, so don't make the mistake of paying the wrong municipality.
